About Temple

The Thirur Shree Parthasaradhi Temple is a pre-historic abode of Lord Krishna, located at Thiruvakkoli, Uduma Panchayath in North Kerala. The temple is believed to be built over 8 centuries back and thrived during the period.

Over the last several years, the temple has been in a state of neglect, resulting in several ‘doshas’ to the neighbourhood. An ‘ashtamangala prashna chintha’ held on August 25, 1989 revealed that the temple has to be renovated and poojas held like earlier.

The main deity of the temple is Lord Parthasaradhi (Krishna) and the other deities worshipped are Lord Ganapathi, Lord Ayyappan and Goddess Durga.

To streamline the renovation activities, an organizing committee has been selected with eminent personalities from various walks of life on the Board. The Committee has set up various action plans to collect funds and awareness to make the temple renovation a reality. The approximate expenditure is estimated to be around Rs.75 lakhs and the completion date planned is June 1, 2006.

Among the various items that has to be constructed are:

> Sree Kovil
> Namaskara Mandapam
> Naalambalam
> Bali kalpura
> Kodimaram
> Chuttambalam
> Gopuram
> Manikkinar
> Temple Pond
> Temple Fence
> Living space for the priests
